Oregon Still In Transitional Phase

Jan 21, 2011 5:26 PM

The Oregon men's basketball program is still in a transitional phase.

Dana Altman has taken over for Ernie Kent, who made two trips to the NCAA Elite Eight and is the winningest coach in school history.

The Ducks are 8-10 overall and 1-5 in Pacific-10 play this season.

"Our numbers haven't been what we had hoped. But the guys have been great," Altman said.

"There haven't been a lot of problems. We've just had trouble finishing some plays. We're not anywhere near where we want to be, but the guys have been great."

“We’ll just have to wait and see how they come out,” Altman said.
